Summer is the season of travel and adventure, and Europe, with its stunning landscapes, offers unique places for exploration. From the lush meadows of Bavaria's Alps to the crystal-clear lakes of Italy, every corner of this continent has its own history and natural beauty. One of these lesser-known places is Halden Lake in the Tannheimer Tal valley in the Austrian Alps.
Attractions of Halden Lake
Halden Lake is a clear and cold lake located at the foot of the Alps, about 90 miles from Munich. Although we visited it last summer and the water was so cold that we couldn't swim in it, for hiking enthusiasts, this lake is known as the starting point for an exciting journey into the Allgäu mountains.
Take the cable car to the heights of Allgäu and then head towards Bad Kissinger Hütte. This hut is a great place to rest and recharge, with refreshing drinks like apfelschorle and hot soups that give you renewed energy for the descent.
An Unforgettable Experience
On the way back, the sound of cowbells gently ringing alongside the mountain springs created a memorable experience. These beautiful and natural scenes make summer one of the best seasons for traveling in Europe. It seems that every step on this path has a story to tell, and this journey is more than just a simple outing.
If you have had a special and memorable trip in Europe, share it with others. Memorable experiences are always valuable to us and can inspire others for their future travels.
