The Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office announced that in this operation conducted last weekend, 12 provinces were covered and 38 suspects were identified. Among them, 26 people were arrested during the operation, and authorities also seized items such as drugs, digital equipment, smuggled alcoholic beverages, and a firearm.
These actions clearly indicate a repressive campaign against the LGBTQ+ community in Turkey, carried out under the pretext of supporting families and traditional values. However, there has been significant criticism from human rights organizations and social activists regarding these actions.
