Environmental Conservation and Tourism Development
Engineer Al-Busaidi also emphasized the importance of environmental conservation in the design and implementation of this project, stating: "The design and implementation of the project have been carried out in a way that considers the preservation of the natural environment and its unique features, especially given its location in a protected area. This is achieved by coordinating the project components with the natural features of the area and minimizing any negative impact on the surrounding environment."
The main goal of this project is to provide integrated facilities for sports and recreational activities that meet the needs of residents and visitors to the area, contributing to an improved quality of life and encouraging outdoor activities.
The Al Khiran waterfront walkway project is considered a qualitative addition to the tourism facilities in the Muscat Governorate and enhances its appeal as a tourist and recreational destination by highlighting the unique natural features of Al Khiran. This helps stimulate tourism and achieve a balance between tourism development and the preservation of the natural environment.
