The Ministry of Public Works in Kuwait has closed several roads across the country for maintenance and asphalt operations. These actions include road closures in Nawzha, Sarra, and Rai, which are being carried out to improve the quality of transportation infrastructure.

Road Closures in Nawzha

In Nawzha, King Fahd Road (40) has been closed in several lanes and ramps to the south, especially since Friday night. These closures include the slow lane and the middle slow lane, along with the right shoulder, the exit from Second Road to King Fahd Road, the entrance from Third Road to King Fahd Road heading south, and also the entrance and exit of Nawzha. The reopening time for these lanes has not yet been determined.

Asphalt Operations in Sarra and Rai

In the Sarra area, Street 7 in Block 5 will be closed until Monday, October 26, due to asphalt replacement. Drivers will be directed to an exit through nearby side streets. Additionally, on Motalq Abbas Manawar Street in Rai, this street will be completely closed in two phases for final asphalt work. From 7 PM on Sunday until 4 PM on Monday, the route from the square in front of Al-Nasr Sports Club to the square in front of IKEA will be closed. In the second phase, from 7 PM on Monday until 4 PM on Tuesday, the route from Mohammed bin Al-Qasim Street to the IKEA square will be closed in both directions, and the square itself will also be closed.

Alternative Routes and Ministry Recommendations

The Ministry of Public Works has advised drivers to pay attention to traffic signs and use alternative routes. Alternative routes will be available through Streets 9, 13, 7, 8, and 1 in Block 1 of Rai. This action is aimed at reducing negative impacts on traffic and facilitating the movement of vehicles.

For any questions and further information, drivers can contact the Ministry's hotline at 150.
