An Egyptian man in Kuwait was arrested by the General Department of Criminal Investigations for changing the expiration labels on spoiled fish and meat and selling them to restaurants. This incident occurred after receiving information about a warehouse where spoiled products were being stored.

Details of the Arrest and Discovery of Spoiled Products

Officers, in collaboration with the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN), visited the warehouse located in the Shuwaikh area. During this operation, the accused man was identified and arrested along with a bus that he used to store the meat. In this inspection, 3.1 tons of spoiled fish, 68 bags of spoiled meat, and 108 kilograms of other meat were seized.

The Food and Nutrition Organization issued summonses for the accused, destroyed the seized products, and referred the accused to the relevant judicial authorities. This action demonstrates the Kuwaiti government's firm determination to combat health violations and protect public health.

Other Actions by the Ministry of Interior

In a separate case, the General Traffic Department also arrested a driver for reckless driving in the Qarin area. This arrest occurred after a video of the incident was released. The driver was fined for traffic violations and referred to the central prison. Additionally, his vehicle was seized and destroyed under Article 33 of the Traffic Law.

The Ministry of Interior warned the public that there would be no tolerance for reckless driving that endangers the lives of others.

Drug Enforcement

In addition to these cases, the General Department for Drug Control also arrested two individuals in two separate cases for possessing drugs and psychotropic substances for trafficking and personal use. In this operation, 332 small papers and five large papers containing drugs and one gram of Shabu (methamphetamine) were seized. All suspects were referred to the relevant judicial authorities.

These actions clearly demonstrate the ongoing and serious efforts of the Kuwaiti government to maintain security and public health and emphasize the country's steadfast determination to combat organized crime and health violations.
