General Yahya Safavi, assistant and senior advisor to the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, referred in an interview to the security situation in the West Asia region and Iran's role in security arrangements, emphasizing that no new security arrangements will be operational without Iran.
Security Developments and Iran's Role
He pointed to the sensitive and strategic conditions of the region, stating that various countries are concerned due to increasing tensions. According to Safavi, the terrorist army of the United States is trying to establish its desired security arrangements in the Persian Gulf, but these actions have faced serious reactions from the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
General Safavi, while congratulating the Sacred Defense Week, praised the performance of domestic media in the two recent wars, stating: "The two recent wars were not just military conflicts but also media wars. Iranian media managed to present honest narratives of the war and defeat the enemy's media front with their proactivity."
Media Consequences and Changing Global Perspectives
He also emphasized that the media war against Iran is recognized as "a complex media game" and that enemies exploit this strategy to legitimize the war. Safavi added: "Iranian media played a significant role by rapidly disseminating news and clarifying the achievements of the war, effectively conveying Iran's victimization narrative to the world."
General Safavi further referred to the changing perspectives of regional countries and global powers regarding Iran's position in the new security order, stating: "The security arrangements of the Persian Gulf and West Asia will be shaped around Iran, and it is Iran that can ensure sustainable security and progress in the region."
According to him, American strategies regarding regional security have failed, and some countries, including Qatar, have concluded that Israel poses a danger to them. Safavi noted: "The future of the region will be shaped with the participation of regional countries and Iran, and Iran will be influential in these arrangements."
In conclusion, General Safavi referred to the resilience of the great Iranian nation against threats, stating: "All our armed forces are firmly present in the field and have prepared their plans for the worst scenarios. This readiness allows us to provide an appropriate and effective response in the event of any threat."
