Iran has conveyed its conditions for resuming negotiations to end the war to the United States through Qatar. This comes as Iranian officials have expressed their readiness to enter negotiations while simultaneously warning that they are prepared for a new round of war.
Iran's Conditions for Negotiations
Mohsen Rezaei, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, announced that Iran's conditions for resuming negotiations have been transmitted to Washington, and Tehran is now awaiting a response from the President of the United States. Rezaei referred to active consultations with Doha and added that these conditions include the release of Iran's frozen assets, ending the U.S. naval blockade, stopping attacks on Iranian territory, non-interference in Iran's internal affairs, and ending the war on all fronts, including Lebanon.

Iran's Message Regarding the War
Rezaei further published a message on platform X, stating that Iran has presented seven conditions for entering any negotiations with Washington. He emphasized that the United States must recognize Iran's declared rights and accept these conditions to prevent further escalation of conflicts.
He also noted that Iran's conditions go beyond the U.S.-Iran dispute and are related to any end to the war in Lebanon as well. At the same time, he warned that Iran is prepared for what he termed a "decisive war," and Tehran has assessed the military weaknesses of the United States, making it better prepared for future conflicts.
Rezaei added that Iran's military planning is increasingly focused on U.S. maritime assets in the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman, and the Arabian Sea, warning that American bases and commercial interests in the region may also be targeted in future conflicts.
Regarding nuclear issues, Rezaei stated that Tehran has not yet made a decision to withdraw from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, but warned that further pressures from the United States could impact this position. He also added that Iran adheres to its religious fatwa prohibiting the use of nuclear weapons, and its nuclear doctrine has not changed.
Rezaei also referred to Iran's non-direct involvement in the Yemen war, stating that Tehran is ready to mediate and considers decisions related to the Bab al-Mandab Strait as a Yemeni issue rather than one under Iran's control.
Qatar and Pakistan have been working to restore negotiations since the expiration of the previous U.S.-Iran agreement in August. Doha has participated in recent exchanges between Tehran and Washington, and Iran is now awaiting the U.S. response to the conditions sent through Qatar.
