Ali Karimi, a diplomat of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the United Nations, responded to the claims made by the representative of Bahrain in the third committee of this international body. He pointed out the human rights situation in Bahrain, saying: "This country speaks of human rights while turning a blind eye to the underlying events."
Bahrain and International Responsibilities
Karimi emphasized that Bahrain is not a victim, adding: "This country has provided territory, bases, and airspace for the illegal war against Iran to the United States." This statement clearly reflects Iran's strong criticism of Bahrain's cooperation with the United States and its use of its territory to conduct military operations against its neighbor.

Consequences of Bahrain's Choices
The Iranian diplomat further stated: "Bahrain, which has provided its territory for an illegal war against its neighbor, can no longer express surprise and astonishment at the consequences." These remarks clearly emphasize the reality that Bahrain bears significant responsibilities due to its choices and must accept the consequences.
Karimi also warned the representative of Bahrain that if the territory of regional countries is used again to attack Iran, Tehran will respond. This warning reflects that Iran will not place itself in a defensive position and will take any threats seriously.
He added in this context: "There are only two paths. Either we build security in the region together or we will endure insecurity together." This statement well illustrates Iran's willingness to cooperate and create security in the region while clearly warning of the consequences of insecurity.
Karimi concluded by emphasizing: "Bahrain has previously chosen the second path, and if it repeats that choice again, it should not expect a different outcome." These remarks indicate Iran's firm stance against any threats that jeopardize its national security.
