Iranian negotiators are present in Doha on Sunday to continue negotiations mediated by Qatar. These talks, which have reached their third consecutive day, are aimed at reaching an agreement to end the war between the United States and Israel against Iran. In this context, an informed source has indicated that the main goal is to reduce tensions and prevent the escalation of war.

Concerns About Escalation of War

These negotiations are taking place amid concerns about the escalation of war following the United States midterm elections on November 3. President Donald Trump has stated that the United States will not launch new attacks on Iran before the elections and has described the negotiations with Tehran as constructive. However, he has not ruled out the possibility of further military action after the elections.

Iran has repeatedly emphasized that in the event of any new attack, it will respond by targeting US and Israeli military facilities in neighboring countries. This war, which has lasted for eight months, has had negative impacts on the global oil market, and its repercussions are felt throughout the Middle East.

Leader's Directive and Iran's Military Preparedness

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, issued a statement on Saturday, urging the armed forces to be prepared to respond to any attack. Following this directive, the Iranian army has begun measures to improve its military readiness. These actions reflect Iran's determination to confront any external threat and represent the critical situation currently prevailing in the region.

Meanwhile, Marco Rubio, the US Secretary of State, also stated on Saturday that Trump has not yet made a decision regarding the possibility of launching new attacks against Iran. He also emphasized that his preference is for a diplomatic resolution to this conflict.

Qatari mediators met with Iranian officials in Tehran on Friday and were then transferred to Doha to continue the negotiations. These talks are being conducted under regular coordination with Washington and demonstrate the willingness of both parties to reach a sustainable agreement.
