Israeli military forces, in a large-scale military operation in the city of Hebron located in the West Bank, forced around 1,200 Palestinians to leave their homes. This event occurred following an attack that resulted in the deaths of two Israeli soldiers. Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, announced that the military operation was launched with the aim of finding militants and weapons.
Details of the Military Operation
The military operation began in the neighborhoods of Al-Jaladah and Ain Deir Bahar near a military checkpoint at the entrance to Hebron. According to Israeli forces, this operation includes the destruction of buildings, shops, and roads. Yusuf Zohar Al-Jabari, the mayor of Hebron, stated that about 1,200 residents have been affected by this operation and are at risk of losing their homes.

Criticism of Israeli Military Actions
The Palestinian Authority condemned this operation as collective punishment. Al-Jabari also pointed out that this operation is taking place due to the parliamentary elections on Tuesday and the possibility of the Netanyahu-led right-wing coalition losing its majority. He added, "Netanyahu and his extremist government ministers are trying to garner as many votes as possible from the settlers."
Non-governmental organizations like the Palestinian Prisoners Club also reported that Israeli forces arrested about 70 Palestinians on Friday and Saturday. Israeli officials have not yet commented on these arrests.
Difficult Conditions for Hebron Residents
Residents of Hebron report that many individuals have been evicted from their homes without any connection to the Palestinian attack. Majdi Nasser, one of the displaced residents, said, "We have no involvement in any of these incidents. This situation is completely arbitrary and meaningless."
Additionally, Yusuf Mar, a resident of the town of Yatta, referred to his difficult conditions and stated that the blockage of entrances to Palestinian towns and villages has severely restricted their freedom of movement. He also explained that he has faced serious difficulties in getting his daughter to cancer treatment in Jerusalem.
Netanyahu's government has witnessed rapid expansion of settlements during its term, which are considered illegal by UN bodies and most countries. However, Israel rejects this claim.
