Public Works Minister's Proposals
The Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, presented a visual report on the status of road maintenance, traffic sign installation, and the development of the road network and Kuwait International Airport (Terminal 2) infrastructure during this session. This report also included a comprehensive maintenance plan for Kuwait's internal streets.
The Council of Ministers emphasized that these measures will help accelerate progress and improve the quality of maintenance work, noting that these actions are vital for ensuring the safety of road users, reducing traffic congestion, and facilitating smooth traffic flow across the country.
Economic and Social Implications
The approval of this consumption tax law could have wide-ranging implications for the economy of Kuwait and neighboring countries. This law allows governments to use tax revenues to finance infrastructure projects and public services. Additionally, this law helps create a more transparent and orderly business environment, which can attract foreign investors and increase competition in the market.
Addressing social and economic needs in these projects can lead to improved quality of life for citizens and reduce traffic and infrastructure issues in Kuwait. Furthermore, with the enhancement of road quality and transportation systems, it is also possible to achieve a reduction in pollution and improve environmental conditions.
