Kuwaiti charities have launched support, educational, and housing projects in Benin, Tanzania, and Kyrgyzstan as part of the "Kuwait Bejanbak" campaign.

Support Projects in Benin

The Ata'a Charity Association in Benin has undertaken support activities that have served approximately 1,000 people and provided healthcare for 400 patients. The General Director of the association, Dr. Omar Al-Shuqra, announced that the support included food baskets containing rice, oil, pasta, and other food items to alleviate the economic burden on poor families. Additionally, this project provided medicines, nutritional supplements, and medical equipment for about 400 people, especially those suffering from malnutrition.

Educational Projects in Tanzania

In Tanzania, the Al-Nama Charity Association, in collaboration with the KAAF Humanitarian Institute of Bahrain, opened the Al-Nama Secondary School in Zanzibar. Khalid Al-Shammari, Head of Programs and Initiatives at the Al-Nama Charity Association, stated that the school includes nine rooms, including five classrooms and equipped laboratories. He emphasized the importance of education as a fundamental pathway to sustainable development and noted that building schools is a key step in providing the knowledge and skills necessary for youth.

Housing Projects in Kyrgyzstan

The Al-Safa Charity Association in Kyrgyzstan has opened three residential villages with a total of about 275 houses, along with health facilities, water networks, and mosques. Mohammed Al-Shaya, Chairman of the Board of the association, stated that the projects include a 100-house village in the Issyk-Kul province and two other villages in the Naryn and Karakol districts. Additionally, the association established a specialized hospital and an equipped clinic in the Naryn province with an emergency department that serves approximately 15,000 residents of Naryn and surrounding villages.

The Al-Safa Charity Association has also constructed water networks in the villages surrounding the capital Bishkek and in the Osh province to provide safe and sustainable water. Several mosques have been built, the largest of which is in the Batken province, with its inauguration attended by about 500 people, including local officials, religious scholars, and elders.

Mohammed Al-Shaya emphasized that the scope of the projects reflects the association's goal of moving towards sustainable development and supporting stability, and he expressed gratitude for the contributions of Kuwaiti donors.
