Asha Enterprise and strategic partners held a free mammography screening campaign at the Diplomatic Club in Oman from October 11 to 13, 2026. This event, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, enabled over 60 women to benefit from free screening services.
Raising Awareness and Early Detection
The campaign was organized to encourage women to prioritize their health and promote the importance of early breast cancer detection. In collaboration with various organizations, the aim of this initiative was to increase access to breast cancer screening services for all women in the community. This initiative serves as a symbol of the ongoing commitment to improving women's health and demonstrates effective collaboration between health organizations, businesses, and social groups.

Dr. Waheed Ali Said Al-Kahrousi, President and Chairman of the Board of the Oman Cancer Association, said: "Early detection through regular examinations plays a vital role in improving breast cancer outcomes. By providing access to mammography screening and encouraging women to undergo these examinations, initiatives like this help strengthen awareness and preventive care in the community. We value the ongoing collaboration with our corporate and social partners."
Charme Majolica, Director of the Diplomatic Club, also stated: "Giving back to the community is one of our core principles at the Diplomatic Club. Together with our strategic partners, we are proud to support breast cancer awareness and access to screening. We believe that meaningful partnerships should go beyond communication and have a lasting positive impact on the lives of others."
Rebecca Olson, CEO of the Oman Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Oman), added: "Strong business communities are built not only through commerce but also through a shared commitment to community well-being. This initiative demonstrates how organizations can collaborate to provide tangible and measurable benefits to the community. Nitin Sapre, CEO of Asha Enterprise, said: "At Asha Enterprise and Europcar, we believe that business success comes with a responsibility for meaningful community engagement. Health awareness is a crucial part of that commitment. Through these initiatives, we hope to encourage more women to prioritize their health and take proactive steps for early detection. We are grateful to our partners for fulfilling this shared commitment."
The annual mammography screening campaign is part of a broader commitment from participating organizations to community well-being and social responsibility. For Europcar Oman and Bahrain, this initiative also complements ongoing efforts in health, education, environmental sustainability, and community development. These efforts were recently recognized with the Leadership Award in Social Responsibility in Car Rental Services at the Shabiba Basma Awards 2026.
Looking at the number of women screened, this initiative highlights the importance of sustainable partnerships in addressing community health needs. By bringing together the expertise of health professionals and collective support from the business community, participating organizations continue to demonstrate how shared responsibility can create meaningful and lasting impact.
Ultimately, this initiative reinforces a simple yet powerful message: early detection matters, and collective action can make a difference.
