Focus on Precision Medicine and Holistic Approach
Dr. Al-Hassawi, referring to changes in modern medicine towards precision medicine and targeted therapies, explained that in this approach, each patient receives treatment tailored to the genetic and molecular characteristics of their disease. This makes treatments more effective, reduces side effects, and leads to better outcomes.
He also emphasized a holistic approach to patient care, meaning that success is not measured solely by laboratory results but also includes reducing complications, alleviating symptoms, and improving quality of life. The Ministry of Health supports both trends and intends to expand them within the Kuwaiti healthcare system.
Conference Goals and Scientific Advancements
This conference aims to keep pace with rapid advancements in the study of blood diseases and blood cancers and seeks to bring scientific research and clinical practice closer together. The presence of specialists and researchers from Kuwait and abroad at this conference can facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences in this field and lead to further advancements in the treatment of patients with these types of cancers.
Given the rapid growth of medical sciences and the need for dialogue among researchers and physicians, holding such conferences will positively impact the enhancement of healthcare services and the improvement of patients' quality of life.
