The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) launched the Omani Women Investors Club initiative on Sunday to enhance the participation of Omani women in capital markets and benefit from investment opportunities. This action took place during a ceremony held in honor of Omani Women's Day, under the patronage of Ibtesam Ahmed Al-Farouji, Deputy Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion of Oman.

Launch Ceremony and Club Objectives

This festival included a bell-ringing ceremony at the Muscat Stock Exchange, which symbolizes the start of this club and reflects the commitment of the Muscat Stock Exchange to increase inclusivity in the Omani capital market and expand its founders. This initiative aims to create new pathways that enhance the presence of Omani women in investments and assist in developing their knowledge and capabilities for making informed and prudent investment decisions.

Haitham Salem Al-Salmi, CEO of the Muscat Stock Exchange, stated that the launch of the Omani Women Investors Club is a new strategic step in the Muscat Stock Exchange's path to building a more diverse and inclusive capital market. This action can serve as a fundamental basis for deepening the market, expanding its founders, and supporting sustainable economic growth.

Vision and Mission of the Club

This club seeks to create an integrated system that connects knowledge with opportunities and helps increase confidence and active participation. The club also aims to establish a sustainable model for collaboration and partnership that transforms women's capabilities and aspirations into added value and tangible impact on the future of the Omani capital market. This initiative aligns with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.

Areej Mohsen Haider Darwish, Chairwoman of the Omani Women Investors Club, stated that empowering women in investment begins with knowledge and becomes a real impact when opportunities are made available. She added that this club represents an ambitious vision for building an influential network of women leaders and investors.

This club is considered an effective platform that goes beyond knowledge exchange to create opportunities, build strategic partnerships, enhance financial and investment literacy, and support the growth of women’s investments. This initiative is designed based on building a network of influential women leaders who collaborate to increase opportunities, inspire change, and unleash hidden economic potential.

The strategic objectives of the club include increasing the level of financial and investment literacy, strengthening women's confidence in making investment decisions, and expanding their participation in capital markets. The club also seeks to support women's representation in leadership positions and investment decision-making roles, build strategic partnerships, and encourage wealth creation and sustainable development.

The launch of this club coincides with Omani Women's Day and emphasizes the advanced status that women have achieved in the national economic landscape. This action highlights the importance of transitioning from raising investment awareness to expanding real participation in it, giving women the opportunity to participate more effectively in the growth and development of the market.
