Joseph Aoun, the President of Lebanon, on Friday emphasized the deep historical and fraternal relations between Lebanon and Kuwait during a meeting with Mohammed Al-Sharqi, the Kuwaiti ambassador in Lebanon. Aoun spoke about the commitment of both countries to strengthen bilateral cooperation and expand it in various fields during this meeting, which was held at the Presidential Palace in Baabda.
Emphasis on Solidarity and Mutual Support
The President of Lebanon also emphasized the solidarity of this country with Kuwait on all matters related to its security and stability. He expressed gratitude to Kuwait, its leadership, government, and people for the support provided to Lebanon. Aoun also conveyed messages of congratulations and wishes for progress and stability for the people of Kuwait to the leadership of that country through the Kuwaiti ambassador.

Mohammed Al-Sharqi, the Kuwaiti ambassador, conveyed messages from the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Jarrahi Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, to the President of Lebanon. Al-Sharqi emphasized Kuwait's unwavering support for Lebanon, its government, and its official institutions, and expressed support for efforts to maintain Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity, strengthen its security and stability, and expand the power of the government throughout the land of Lebanon.
During this meeting, the latest political and security developments in Lebanon and the region were also discussed. The two sides exchanged views on various and common issues and emphasized the importance of cooperation in various fields. This meeting reflects the deep commitment of Lebanon and Kuwait to strengthen their historical and fraternal relations and bilateral cooperation in the near future.
