Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, stated in an official announcement that his country is ready to mediate between Iran and the United States. He emphasized the importance of achieving a sustainable and long-term solution and suggested that a collective security plan for the Persian Gulf should be discussed with the participation of Iran, Arab countries, and even the United States.

The Importance of Collective Security in the Persian Gulf

Medvedev further noted that the existing crises in the Persian Gulf not only affect regional stability but also pose risks to global security. He added that cooperation among regional countries and major powers could help strengthen security and reduce tensions. The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council emphasized: "We must seek to create a comprehensive cooperation framework that includes all key players in this region."

Proposal for Multilateral Talks

Medvedev also proposed that multilateral talks be held to address security and economic issues between Iran and Arab countries, along with the United States. These discussions could lead to a reduction in tensions and create a suitable environment for economic cooperation. He stated: "The Russian government is ready to participate as a mediator in these negotiations and will make every effort to achieve a sustainable agreement."

This proposal comes at a time when tensions between Iran and the United States are escalating due to several factors, including Iran's nuclear program and military activities in the region. Medvedev pointed out the history of disputes in the Persian Gulf, noting that a lack of cooperation could lead to new crises, the consequences of which could result in a widespread war.

Medvedev's remarks come as many countries and international organizations seek solutions to reduce tensions and create stability in the Persian Gulf. The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council emphasized that only through diplomacy and negotiation can desirable outcomes be achieved and stressed the need for expanding regional and international cooperation.
