This lecture was delivered by Professor Zubair Younessi, Chair of the Global Council on Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Fatty Liver Disease and Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University in the United States. Additionally, 15 oral presentations and 60 scientific posters were selected from the research papers.

Dr. Siham Salim Al Sinani, Executive President of Muscat Medical University, stated that the value of research is not measured solely by the number of completed studies but depends on its contribution to the development of thinking, decision-making, and medical practice. She emphasized that research should be connected to the needs of patients and health practice and should aid in achieving evidence, decisions, and actionable solutions.

The results of the research day indicate the growth of research activities at Muscat Medical University and in the health sector. This event also emphasizes the creation of a supportive environment for research, experimentation, and collaboration and highlights the necessity of enhancing the ability to translate knowledge into tangible impacts on the quality of healthcare and its outcomes.

At the end of this event, the winners of the second cycle awards were announced, and the top three positions in the fields of oral presentations and scientific posters were recognized.
