Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, is likely to turn to military action in Yemen to bolster his electoral chances. This news comes as the Israeli elections are set to take place on October 27, and tensions with Iran and the Houthis continue to rise.

Netanyahu's Electoral Concerns

An Israeli security source has stated that the possibility of a new military confrontation with Iran or the Houthis before the elections cannot be ruled out. The source added that Netanyahu may be inclined towards military action in Yemen, whereas he had previously focused more on attacking Iran.

According to a senior political source in Israel, despite the improvement in his camp's position in the polls, Netanyahu remains fearful of being ousted from his position. Therefore, a delay in holding elections due to a military tension does not worry him and may even be beneficial. The source added: "Even if this action does not lead to a delay in the elections and merely brings security issues to the forefront, it will help Netanyahu remind the Israeli people of the glorious and successful days he had in the war against Iran and Hezbollah."

Polls and Security Predictions

A poll released by the National Security Studies Institute in September showed that 68% of Israelis believe their country will have to resume war with Iran. In contrast, only 14% believe that hostilities should not be expected to resume. This data reflects growing concerns among the Israeli public about their country's security and the likelihood of war.

In light of these developments, it seems that Netanyahu is seeking to garner more support from the Israeli community and Saudi Arabia. Additionally, analysts believe that these actions could have profound impacts on regional policies and Israel's relations with its neighbors.
