Oman witnessed the graduation of 125 engineers and specialists from the 'Iman 3' program, which was conducted under the supervision of Engineer Badr Salem Al-Maamari, Head of the Projects, Tenders, and Local Content Authority. This six-month program aims to enhance the efficiency of the national workforce in managing government projects and contracts.

Expanding Participation Scope

For the first time, 15 government entities participated in this ceremony, indicating an expansion of scope and increased interest in the program. This initiative aligns with the efforts of the Omani government to develop national capabilities and improve efficiency in project and contract management.

Educational Methods and Program Goals

Abdullah Saif Al-Hosni, Senior Consultant for Talent Development and Projects in this authority, announced that the 'Iman 3' program continues the path of its two previous versions, namely 'Iman 1' and 'Iman 2'. The goal of this program is to create an integrated platform for developing national capabilities in project and contract management, enhancing project management office systems, and facilitating staff mobility among government entities.

This program focuses on developing the technical and administrative skills of employees in managing projects and contracts, utilizing an integrated methodology that combines theoretical and practical training. Field visits to existing projects in various provinces are also included in the program.

The educational approach of this program is based on blended learning, which includes in-person training, remote learning, field visits, research, case studies, and career guidance. The program also addresses training on the use of artificial intelligence technologies in project management.

The program features accredited professional pathways, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and provides practical applications on existing projects. This helps participants translate theoretical knowledge into practical applications and link training to the real needs of the workplace.

In conclusion, the 'Iman' program is designed to develop active employees in the project and contract sectors and improve their efficiency in line with the growing needs of project management. This program contributes to enhancing the quality of project execution, improving governance, and increasing efficiency in managing government projects and tenders.
