The winners of the second edition of the "Engineering with Artificial Intelligence" competition were announced today in Oman. This competition is one of the initiatives of the National Program for Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Digital Technologies organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology of Oman.
25 Teams Participated in the Competition
In this competition, 25 teams consisting of 100 participants from various provinces of Oman took part. The team "OHI AI Labs" won first place with the project "Ma AI", while the team "Faheem" with the project "Rafeeq" secured second place, and the team "Nawat" with the project "Sadeem Robotics" achieved third place.

Encouragement Awards and Recognition of Innovation
In addition, six encouragement awards were given to appreciate outstanding projects and teams in various fields. The team "Novera AI" received the award for excellence in innovation, the team "Itqan" received the award for outstanding collaboration and teamwork, and the team "Sharyk" won the award for best presentation and communication. Additionally, the team "Mawrid" received the award for the most scalable product, the team "Sandeed" received the award for outstanding social impact, and the team "The Oqtmizers" received the technical excellence award.
This ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, Minister of Economy. The aim of this competition is to develop national capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence, encourage youth and innovators to develop practical technical solutions to real challenges in various sectors, and strengthen the culture of innovation and teamwork.
The closing ceremony began with the opening of an exhibition where eligible teams showcased their projects and technical solutions, providing explanations about the challenges their projects address, working mechanisms, projected value, and their potential for development and application in various fields.
The event also included a keynote session titled "The Future of the Digital Economy in the Era of Intelligent Agents". This session addressed the impact of intelligent agents on business models and digital services, the economic and investment opportunities they present, and the needs for preparing institutions to leverage them. The importance of developing national capabilities and creating a supportive digital and legal environment for responsible innovation was also emphasized.
During this event, institutions and individuals who contributed the most to supporting the "Maeen AI" platform were also recognized. This recognition included four main categories: data and language empowerment partner, development and quality partner, pioneer in empowering and raising awareness of institutions, and recognition of the top ten active and interactive users on this platform.
