Discussion on Brotherhood Relations and Regional Developments

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman announced that al-Busaidi received a call from Abdelatty, during which the two sides discussed the brotherly relations between the two brotherly nations and regional developments in light of the current escalating tensions. In this conversation, the two ministers examined ways to continue coordination with relevant parties to support efforts to contain the escalation of tensions and create conditions for de-escalation. They also emphasized prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions.

Development of Oman-UAE Relations

In a separate call, al-Busaidi and Abdullah bin Zayed discussed the cooperative relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates and ways to further develop them. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman stated that the two sides addressed regional developments during this conversation and coordinated their countries' efforts in the international arena, also paying attention to global issues of mutual interest.

Additionally, in his phone conversation with Jean-Noël Barrot, al-Busaidi discussed the ongoing developments in the region, the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries, and ways to strengthen them. In this session, both sides emphasized the importance of achieving understanding and consensus on all unresolved issues through dialogue and peaceful negotiations.

These discussions take place amid the ongoing crisis between the United States and Iran and its implications for the countries in the region. Military tensions between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi group in Yemen and existing threats to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb are also among the issues affecting regional developments.
