Oman's Ministry of Heritage and Tourism launched a new digital platform called Assurance along with a package of 14 electronic services for stakeholders on Tuesday. This initiative is part of the ministry's efforts to develop the work environment, enhance institutional performance, and facilitate transaction processes.
Objectives of the Assurance Platform
The Assurance Platform is designed to connect strategic programs with project implementation, improve data accuracy, and provide an up-to-date overview of the ministry's performance to senior leadership. This platform will aid in better decision-making, timely identification of challenges, and monitoring progress towards achieving goals.
Electronic Facilities and Improved User Experience
Asma Abdullah Al-Sinani, Digital Transformation Director, stated that the launch of the Assurance platform and new electronic services is part of the ministry's efforts to enhance institutional performance and improve user experience. She explained that this platform enables the connection of strategic programs with project implementation and tracking their performance, providing accurate and up-to-date data to support decision-making. The electronic services also facilitate transactions without the need to visit the ministry's headquarters.
Through these digital solutions, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism aims to increase integration among its departments, create a culture of transparency and institutional work, and empower employees to perform their duties efficiently and clearly, which will help achieve the ministry's goals and provide more accessible services to stakeholders.
This platform provides project managers with tools for planning, tracking implementation, and managing related risks. It also offers employees clarity regarding their duties and helps strengthen inter-agency communications and integrate efforts.
The package of electronic services includes four different areas, including adventure tourism, tourism facilities, fine arts groups, and caves, allowing stakeholders to conduct their transactions electronically without the need to visit the ministry's headquarters.
The launch of this platform and new services is part of the ministry's efforts for digital transformation and the development of its work and service ecosystem, which helps increase the efficiency of internal operations and facilitate processes for stakeholders.
