Pallavi Mhardolkar, marketing manager of Heenat Salma, explained that the opening of this store aims to provide greater access for city residents to sustainable approaches and farm products. She said, "Heenat Salma is a sustainable farm, so we need to bring the concept of agriculture to the city. That's how the idea of the Old Port of Doha store came about."
Products and Workshops
Mhardolkar explained the experience that visitors can expect, stating that this store brings a small farm experience to an urban environment. She said, "You will see a mini Heenat Salma farm in the city." The store features a café that offers some of the farm's popular food products, including bread and dairy items.
The marketing manager of Heenat Salma added, "People love Heenat Salma's food. Now they can enjoy it at the café in the Old Port of Doha. Our saj bread and dairy products have been very well received. Now these products are closer to you."
In addition to food offerings, this location also contains a concept store that includes handicrafts and products available in the main Heenat Salma store. The goal is to bring the farm retail experience closer to customers and introduce more people to the range of handmade products.
This location also includes a dedicated space for workshops, responding to requests from individuals interested in participating in Heenat Salma activities in the city. Mhardolkar stated, "We often ask people if they can hold workshops at home or in a space in the city. Now this space has been provided for them."
