Poland's Orlen Oil Company is rapidly seeking oil shipments from the North Sea and other parts of the world due to disruptions in oil supply from Saudi Arabia. This company is one of the main customers of Saudi crude oil in Europe, and the escalating conflicts in the Middle East, including Houthi attacks from Yemen on Saudi facilities, have compelled Orlen to look for alternative supplies.

Purchase of New Oil Shipments

According to industry sources, Orlen has purchased several crude oil shipments in cash tenders at the end of last week and on Monday. These shipments include various types of North Sea crude oil such as Grane, Johan Sverdrup, and Johan Castberg. Additionally, the company has been seeking shipments of crude oil and TPI from the United States and oil blends from Kazakhstan.

Supply Management and Refinery Operations

Further details regarding these transactions have not been disclosed, and the results of the tenders have not been directly confirmed. Orlen has not commented on the specific details of its commercial transactions but stated that it actively manages its supply portfolio to ensure the uninterrupted operation of its refining facilities. A spokesperson for the company stated: "Adjusting and optimizing purchase volumes is a standard and ongoing part of Orlen Group's operations, influenced by current production needs and changing market conditions."

Currently, the delivery of raw materials to Orlen's refineries continues without disruption. The company's spokesperson noted that the process of sourcing raw materials is still ongoing, and no disruptions in this regard have been reported.
