Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, honored 80 teachers from public schools at a ceremony titled Teacher's Day held on Wednesday in Doha. This event was organized to appreciate the efforts and impact of these teachers in shaping Qatar's educational system.

Honoring Teachers and Their Impact

Sheikh Mohammed wrote in a message on social media platform X: "Today I am pleased to honor 80 male and female teachers from public schools." He added: "This recognition is a tribute to their impact that will be passed on to future generations and reflects their dedication and outstanding efforts in the field of education."

Details of the Ceremony and Important Messages

This ceremony, held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Doha, was organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education with the theme "A Gift that Bears Fruit for Generations." The Minister of Education and Higher Education, Lulwa Al-Khater, also attended the event. The ceremony began with the national anthem of Qatar, and a video showcasing the diverse paths of teachers across Qatar was screened.

Lulwa Al-Khater emphasized the importance of teachers' impact on students' lives in her opening speech, stating: "The lasting impact of teachers is measured not only by what they teach but by what they leave behind." She also highlighted the key role of teachers in shaping students' character and preparing future generations.

During the ceremony, Al-Khater reminded attendees that the late Emir's father, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, was always loyal to his teacher, Ahmed Ali Mansour, and regarded the visit to Egypt to offer condolences to Mansour's family after his passing as a testament to appreciation and respect for teachers.

The ceremony also included an exhibition of educational projects and applied research by students and teachers, showcasing efforts to develop research skills, critical thinking, and innovation, along with the use of modern technologies to improve learning outcomes.
