The caricature exhibition "Worthy Son" has recently opened in Kuwait. This exhibition, now in its third edition, is held in memory of the late astronomer Dr. Saleh Al-Ajiri and showcases works by caricature artists from Kuwait and other countries around the world.

Tribute to Dr. Saleh Al-Ajiri

This event is supported by Ibrahim Al-Baghli, the head of the "Worthy Son" charity foundation. Mohammed Thallab, the head of the Kuwait Caricature Association, stated in an interview with reporters that this exhibition includes over 100 artworks that address moral and social values related to respect for parents. He added: "Dr. Al-Ajiri was chosen as this year's distinguished personality due to the moral and national values he has instilled in Kuwaiti society."

Participation of Global Artists

This exhibition features artists from over 50 countries, some of whom are participating for the first time. Countries such as the Scandinavian countries, Brazil, and Malaysia are among the new participants, alongside artists from China and Gulf countries. The exhibition will last for one week, and the organizing committee will announce the top three winners at the end of the event.

Ali Hassan, the head of the "Worthy Son" award committee, also spoke about the goals of this award in 2026, stating that the aim is to convey awareness messages about respect for parents and fundamental social values to all segments of society through art and caricature. The selection of Dr. Al-Ajiri as the most popular personality in this regard reflects the effort to introduce inspiring Kuwaiti figures and familiarize new generations with their achievements.

This exhibition not only honors the memory of Dr. Al-Ajiri but also promotes the culture of respect for parents and moral values in Kuwaiti society. This event provides a suitable opportunity for artists to depict important social messages through their caricatures and contribute to raising awareness in the community. Additionally, this exhibition can serve as a platform for cultural and artistic exchange among artists from different countries.
