Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of Oman, and Dr. Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, today discussed the latest developments in political and technical negotiations and agreements during a phone call. This call was made to facilitate the resumption of uninterrupted navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Emphasis on Respect for National Sovereignty

The two ministers emphasized that the desired agreements should be based on respect for national sovereignty and the legitimate interests of all parties. They also stressed the importance of creating suitable conditions for the revival of dialogue and negotiation paths. The ministers also reviewed remaining issues that have intensified tensions in the region.

Strengthening Regional Security and Stability

During this call, the two ministers emphasized the continuation of necessary consultations and coordination and reiterated their support for all diplomatic efforts to strengthen security and stability in the region. They highlighted the importance of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in various fields and reminded of the necessity to pay attention to economic and social issues.

According to the Foreign Ministers of Oman and Iran, establishing stability in the Strait of Hormuz, as one of the world's most important waterways, has a direct impact on global security and economy. They believe that only through diplomacy and dialogue can effective and sustainable solutions be achieved.

In this context, Oman, given its geographical position as a communication bridge between the Gulf countries and other regions, can play an important role in facilitating dialogues. Bilateral cooperation between Iran and Oman can be considered an example of successful diplomacy in the region.

Ultimately, this phone call reflects the determination and will of the two countries to reduce tensions and create suitable grounds for future cooperation. The ministers hope that with the continuation of consultations and negotiations, they will reach the necessary agreements to maintain security and stability in the region.
