The 'Azim' program is designed for 30 department heads and managers who are in leadership or supervisory roles within the government. The Royal Academy of Management's Commitment to Social Responsibility
Dr. Ali Qasim Al Lawati, President of the Royal Academy of Management, stated: "Azim" represents the Academy's commitment to social responsibility and equal opportunity. Omani professionals with disabilities can play an important role as leaders and should have more opportunities to take on greater responsibilities and have a voice in decisions related to their institutions.
He added: "The long-term effectiveness of our public management depends on how we develop the talents of all our people. When colleagues are encouraged and supported to fully utilize their abilities, they can strengthen their institutions and directly contribute to the development of Oman."
This program addresses the practical development needs of government leaders and links learning to sustainable improvements in institutional operations, supporting Oman 2040's goal for an effective, resilient, and innovative public sector.
The 'Azim' program focuses on three main pillars: self-leadership, team leadership, and social initiative leadership. Self-leadership gives participants the opportunity to reflect on their leadership identity, identify their strengths, and target areas for personal development. Team leadership focuses on collaborative leadership, adapting communications to team needs, and active member participation in decision-making. Social initiative leadership examines policies and regulations related to individuals with disabilities and helps participants design awareness initiatives that challenge stereotypes within their institutions.
Through the 'Azim' program, the Royal Academy of Management continues its strategic mission to develop executive leadership across Oman while also promoting inclusion, equity, and equal opportunities in the workplace.
