The United States government, led by Donald Trump, reported 'significant movement' towards an agreement with Iran following a meeting with Middle Eastern leaders. Trump stated at this meeting, held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, that the United States is pursuing 'complete financial isolation' of Iran and hopes that the country will take appropriate action soon.

Emphasis on Iran's Nuclear Program

Trump also referred to Iran's nuclear program, stating that preventing Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons is one of the main goals of the United States campaign. He noted: 'A large part of the actions we have taken, perhaps 99 percent of it, is to ensure that Iran does not have nuclear weapons.'

At this meeting, Trump referenced his threats against Mount Pika, one of Iran's nuclear facilities, stating that he would bomb these facilities if necessary. This facility, located near the uranium enrichment site in Natanz, has been identified as a center for centrifuge manufacturing, raising concerns about its potential use for covert purposes.

Meeting with Middle Eastern Leaders

The meeting on Tuesday included several high-ranking officials from various Middle Eastern countries, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister of Qatar; Ali Al-Zaydi, Prime Minister of Iraq; Abdullah II, King of Jordan; Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Turkey; Ahmad Al-Shara, President of Syria; and Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister of Lebanon. Additionally, foreign ministers from Arab countries such as Badr Abdulati from Egypt and Faisal bin Farhan from Saudi Arabia were also present at this meeting.

In his speech, Trump told global leaders: 'I have a big decision to make. Will there be a deal with Iran that allows them to rebuild a bigger country than before, or do I need to quickly destroy the Islamic Republic?'

Discussions between senior U.S. and Iranian officials lasted for three hours on Tuesday, and Trump described them as 'very constructive.' Trump's Middle East advisors, Jared Kushner and Steven Witkoff, participated in these discussions. Additionally, Iranian state media confirmed that such a meeting took place on Tuesday.

Arab countries in the Gulf region are seeking to maintain diplomatic channels with Iran amid ongoing tensions. Anwar Gargash, advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates, stated on Sunday that discussions between Washington and Tehran should be accompanied by parallel regional dialogue.
