Qatar is actively mediating between Iran and the United States, continuing this effort despite Tehran's unjustified attacks on Gulf countries. The country has warned about the global economic consequences of ongoing conflicts.

Qatar's Mediation Efforts

Qatar is striving to reduce the differences between Iran and the United States and to prevent escalation of tensions. Majid Al-Ansari, advisor to the Prime Minister and official spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated at the ministry's weekly press conference on Tuesday that Qatar continues to hold meetings with both sides, exchanging messages between them and discussing possible solutions to create a common ground for an agreement.

Al-Ansari said: "We are exchanging messages between the parties and seeking to create a common ground for reaching an agreement that will save us all from the consequences of this conflict." He also responded to questions about Qatar's efforts to break the current deadlock, noting that the country continues to exchange ideas and hold meetings with both sides.

Economic Consequences of Tensions

Al-Ansari also warned that the consequences of prolonged instability in the Gulf will extend beyond the economies of Qatar and its neighboring countries. He highlighted the Gulf's key role in providing energy to the world and essential products for global food security, discussing the importance of resolving this crisis.

In response to a question about how long the economies of Qatar and other Gulf countries can endure, he emphasized that the main question should be how much the global economy can withstand the repercussions of regional events. Al-Ansari pointed out that each additional day of conflict puts more pressure on the region's economies.

While referencing the U.S. President's statements about providing economic aid to Iran in exchange for nuclear concessions, Al-Ansari said that Qatar's role remains focused on exchanging messages and seeking to create a common ground for an agreement.

Al-Ansari also expressed concern about the possibility of further military action by the United States against Iran, stating: "Failure to reach a peaceful solution will hardly lead to a favorable outcome for all of us in the region, and we are working to prevent this situation from occurring."
