Air India's international flight (AI-2030) en route from Frankfurt to Delhi made an emergency landing at Jaipur International Airport on Wednesday morning due to a security alert and hijacking threat. This decision was made following an emergency signal from the pilot of the flight, who declared the transponder code '7500', recognized as the universal code for unlawful interference or hijacking of an aircraft.
Immediate Actions After Landing
The flight landed safely and was immediately directed to an isolated area, adhering to all security protocols related to emergencies. Following the receipt of the emergency signal from the Ahmedabad Air Traffic Control Center, security agencies were alerted, and immediate response protocols to security threats were initiated.
After a safe landing, both pilots and all passengers were gradually evacuated from the aircraft under strict security supervision. All passengers and their luggage are currently undergoing physical screening and comprehensive security profiling. Operational teams from the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) present in Jaipur, along with airport security agencies and local police, have cordoned off the isolated area and are conducting a complete sweep of the aircraft.
