Ansarullah's attacks on Saudi infrastructure, especially airports, have significantly increased, causing major disruptions in the air transport of the country. While Yemeni government forces, supported by Saudi Arabia, are trying to retake strategic areas around Bab al-Mandab, Pakistan and Turkey have also increased their military support for Riyadh.

Flight Cancellations and Disruptions in Air Transport

According to reports, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh has temporarily halted operations due to security threats, resulting in the cancellation of hundreds of flights. FlightRadar data shows that on Friday, 171 flights were canceled, and another 81 flights on Saturday at this airport. These disruptions have severely impacted the operations of other airports as well, with international airlines such as Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines suspending their flights to Riyadh.

Advances of Yemeni Forces and Foreign Support

Yemeni government forces, advancing towards areas controlled by Ansarullah with Saudi air support, are seeking to retake strategic areas around Bab al-Mandab. Meanwhile, Ansarullah has stated that it will continue to counter these advances and has reported significant casualties among the attacking forces. Additionally, Shahbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, has declared his country's support for Saudi Arabia within the framework of the Mecca defense pact, emphasizing the national sovereignty of the country.

Dimensions of the Crisis and Its Consequences

Analysts believe that this crisis could severely impact energy transport and maritime trade in the region. Given the existing tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and increasing pressures from Tehran, the current situation could raise the economic costs of the crisis. In this context, Donald Trump has also pointed to the supply of Russian diesel to the global market, predicting that the price of this fuel will drop rapidly. Furthermore, statements from U.S. officials regarding efforts to block Iran's land routes indicate increased pressures on Tehran.
