Leadership and Goals of the Qatar Chapter
Mohammed Jassim Mohammed Ibrahim Jaida, Executive Director of Jaida Group, has been elected as the President of the Qatar Chapter. This chapter is the fifth IAA chapter in the Middle East and aims to connect global experiences with local market aspirations, facilitating knowledge exchange, talent development, and best practices. Furthermore, the new chapter aligns with Qatar's National Vision 2030 and will contribute to developing a knowledge-based economy, empowering creative industries, and strengthening Qatar's position as a regional hub for content and communications.
The launch of this chapter comes at a time when Qatar's media, communications, and advertising sectors are rapidly growing, benefiting from advanced digital infrastructures, a global track record of hosting major events, and an environment that encourages investment and innovation. Data indicates that Qatar has strong foundations in media, communications, and advertising, including nearly 100 percent internet penetration, a leading global position in mobile internet speed, and a media ecosystem that includes prominent entities such as Al Jazeera and the beIN media group.
The board of the Qatar Chapter includes a distinguished group of leaders and experts from across the sector. The chair of this board is Mohammed Jassim Mohammed Ibrahim Jaida, and other members include Hanan Al-Tabtaba, Secretary-General; Amin Bouajab, Treasurer and Vice President; Antoine Gede, Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing; and other active experts in the field. The composition of the board reflects the diversity of Qatar's media, communication, and advertising ecosystem and the complementary role that agencies, media organizations, brands, and digital platforms play.
Through future programs, the Qatar IAA Chapter seeks to introduce targeted initiatives including specialized workshops, professional training, and certification programs, cross-sector dialogues, and events that bring together decision-makers, creative professionals, and young talents in advertising, media, and communications. This chapter will act as an active platform to support the next generation of talents, enhance industry competitiveness, and create new opportunities for local and international collaborations, further strengthening Qatar's position as a leading destination for communications and creativity in the region and beyond.
