Kazem Gharib Abadi, the Deputy for International Affairs and Legal Affairs of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, mentioned the continuation of Iran's contacts with the foreign ministers of the Gulf states and stated that these contacts are maintained at the highest level in the current situation, which is not favorable due to the aggressions of the United States and the Zionist regime.

UN General Assembly Meeting and Meetings with Counterparts

Gharib Abadi added: At the UN General Assembly meeting, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran, met with all his counterparts from the Gulf states. According to him, what was supposed to take place in Oman was related to the understanding between Iran and Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz and the entry and exit routes. This understanding could help strengthen security and economic cooperation in the region.

The Necessity of Dialogue for Peace and Stability in the Region

Gharib Abadi stated: Although the Salalah meeting could have been a suitable opportunity for the eight Gulf states to discuss peace and stability in the region, the lack of this meeting should not hinder the continuation of contacts and dialogues. He emphasized that contacts at other levels are still ongoing and that the Islamic Republic of Iran is seeking diplomatic solutions to resolve regional issues.

He also referred to the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the security of the Gulf and the aggressions of the Zionist regime and the United States, stating that Iran's positions on this matter have been clearly articulated at the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Gharib Abadi emphasized that Iran will respond decisively to any threats that may arise from enemies.

Common Concerns of Islamic Countries

This Iranian official also referred to the issue of Palestine, stating that this matter is a common concern for all Islamic countries. Gharib Abadi clarified that Mr. Araghchi has also addressed the situation in Yemen in his meetings, emphasizing that the situation in Yemen should be such that the blockade is lifted. He stated that any solution that helps achieve peace and stability in Yemen must be non-military, and the Islamic Republic of Iran has expressed its readiness to reach such a solution.

Overall, Gharib Abadi emphasized the necessity of continuing diplomacy and dialogue among the countries of the region, highlighting the importance of multilateral cooperation to create security and stability in the Gulf and other critical areas.
