Sheikha Intisar Salem Al Ali Al Sabah, founder and president of the Al-Nawwar Institute, announced the graduation of 35 participants at the closing ceremony of the 'Future Women' leadership program in Kuwait, recognizing their commitment and efforts to enhance leadership skills and social participation. This program, which was supported by the Dutch Embassy in Kuwait and in collaboration with the European Union and the Commercial Bank of Kuwait, concluded after four months of training.

Emphasis on the Importance of True Leadership

Sheikha Intisar stated in her speech that true leadership does not begin with a title, but with a woman's decision to know herself, face her fears, trust in her values and abilities, and have the courage to express her opinions. She added that empowering a woman's inner strength impacts her family, workplace, and community, and that the participants in this program possess the necessary capabilities for leadership.

Participants' Experiences

Dana Al-Dhafiri, one of the participants, stated that this program took her beyond her usual work in engineering and allowed her to connect with women from various sectors, enhancing her communication and networking skills. Another participant, Alia Al-Haddad, reported on the development of her leadership skills and self-confidence, especially in the workplace.

The program included 9 intensive workshops based on positive psychology and leadership science, focusing on leadership presence, decision-making, effective expression, and communication in institutional environments. A discussion session with leaders from various sectors about the role of women in national development was also held. Evaluations conducted before and after the program indicated improvements in participants' self-confidence, leadership readiness, and effective communication.

The ceremony was attended by Ghada Al-Taher, UN Resident Coordinator in Kuwait, Paramita Tripathi, Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, Tara Shuriwater, Canadian Ambassador to Kuwait, and officials from the Commercial Bank of Kuwait. Participants received their certificates, and the program's supporters were thanked for their support.
