Thousands in London and Berlin took to the streets holding placards with slogans like "End the Crimes" and "Freedom for Palestine." These gatherings took place near the British Parliament and in a square between the Chancellor's office and the German Parliament, reflecting deep global concerns about the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Consequences of the Crimes in Gaza

Immy Shalan, director of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, stated at the gathering: "We are here today to commemorate three years of crimes in Gaza." She also emphasized that Western sanctions against the aggressors' violence are not strong enough and called for a complete boycott against Israel. Statistics from the Gaza Ministry of Health indicate that since the ceasefire a year ago, approximately 1,450 Palestinians have lost their lives.

Protests in Berlin and Dublin

In Berlin, a similar gathering organized by a group called "United for Palestine" attracted around 3,500 people. Participants criticized Germany's arms exports to Israel, with some calling for stronger criticism from Germany towards Israel. These criticisms have intensified particularly due to Germany's bitter history during the Holocaust.

A protest was also held in Dublin to mark the anniversary of the October 7, 2023 attacks. This attack, the deadliest in Israel's history, resulted in the deaths of 1,221 people and also saw 251 hostages taken to Gaza.

In the wake of these attacks, Israel launched a military operation that led to further destruction in Gaza and the deaths of over 74,200 people. These figures illustrate the deep humanitarian crisis in the region, highlighting the need for urgent attention and action from the global community.

The London police announced that they had arrested 20 people during the protests for supporting an organization banned under British law. Additionally, Metropolitan Police officials stated that they would respond firmly to hate crimes and other offenses.
