Major General Ahmad Vahidi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, stated in a new declaration that no extra-regional power has the right to threaten or intervene in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. These remarks come at a time when tensions in the region are rising due to the military presence of certain countries.

Iran's Firm Stance Against Threats

Major General Vahidi pointed out the geographical significance of the Strait of Hormuz, stating that this area is considered one of the most strategically vital points in the world, and any foreign intervention could lead to instability and further tensions. He noted: "Dominating presence in this vital waterway not only threatens regional security but also endangers global stability."

Consequences of Extra-Regional Intervention

These statements come at a time when some extra-regional countries are attempting to increase their military presence in the Persian Gulf under various pretexts. Such actions, particularly by the United States and some European countries, have raised serious concerns among the Gulf littoral states. Major General Vahidi clearly stated that Iran will not allow these countries to interfere in its internal affairs and national security.

He also emphasized that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are always prepared to respond to any threats and consider the security of the waters of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz as a national duty. This reflects Iran's serious determination to protect its interests and ensure regional security.

Ultimately, Major General Vahidi stressed that only regional countries should intervene in the security and political matters of the Persian Gulf, and any attempts at intervention by extra-regional powers will face a decisive and appropriate response from Iran. This stance could be an indication of Iran's political and military resolve to counter any threats in the future.
