The Ministry of Interior of Oman held a meeting with the 'Rakan' Energy Social Responsibility Foundation on Monday to explore mechanisms for directing social responsibility programs towards developmental priorities in the provinces of this region. This session was attended by Sheikh Mahmoud Rashid Al-Saidi, the head of the Ministry of Interior, and Engineer Mohammed Ahmed Al-Ghareebi, the CEO of the 'Rakan' Foundation, along with governors from various provinces.

Sustainable Development and Local Needs

This meeting examined the alignment of provincial needs with the operational areas of the 'Rakan' Foundation, as well as the mechanisms for presenting, studying, and evaluating social initiatives. The goal of these discussions was to identify priority projects and collaboration opportunities that align with sustainability criteria and social impact.

The 'Rakan' Foundation introduced its operational system for managing social responsibility efforts in the energy sector and outlined its methodology for assessing and selecting projects and measuring social return on investment. The foundation also focuses on human infrastructure, social infrastructure, local economy, and other developmental areas.

Collaboration for Social Development

The methodology of the 'Rakan' Foundation is based on sustainability, governance, measuring social return, and the connection of projects to the needs of local communities. In this meeting, governors discussed various needs and priorities in their provinces and explored opportunities including scalable projects in the realm of social responsibility. This initiative provides a more organized framework for coordination among the Ministry of Interior, governors, and the 'Rakan' Foundation in studying and following up on projects.

Ultimately, this collaboration will not only contribute to social and economic development in Oman but will also lead to the creation of sustainable infrastructure and the empowerment of local communities. These efforts aim to enhance the quality of life and create new opportunities for residents of these areas.
