Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, on Saturday, November 9, 1405, in an interview with Al Jazeera, discussed the message sent by J.D. Vance, the U.S. Vice President. He stated that this issue has been discussed in high-level meetings.

Critique of Washington's Behavior

Araghchi pointed out that if Washington's goal with Vance's message is to exacerbate differences, this would be a new mistake added to America's previous errors. He also mentioned that there is currently no plan for a meeting with American officials, and the news published in this regard is merely media speculation.

Current Situation and Iran's Conditions

The Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized that Iran sees no necessity for a meeting with the Americans at this time. Iran's conditions are clear, and consultations by intermediaries regarding them are ongoing. He added that Qatari and Pakistani intermediaries are still negotiating Iran's conditions. Araghchi also noted that the American side's efforts to open a dialogue and broader understanding are considered a positive step. After Washington agrees to Iran's conditions, a decision will be made regarding the direct or indirect nature of negotiations.

Araghchi further stated that there is still a long way to return cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency to normal. Iran is a member of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and adheres to its commitments under this treaty.

Arms Capabilities and War Situation

He also emphasized the updating of the country's arms capabilities, stating: "We have addressed weaknesses and tested new weapons." Iran's armed forces are at the highest level of readiness, and we do not rule out any possibility of war. Araghchi called for an end to the war on all fronts, especially in Lebanon.

He concluded by noting that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is conditional on accepting the new shipping route defined by Iran and the Sultanate of Oman in this strait. He also called for the restoration of oil exemptions and the release of all frozen Iranian assets, including our assets in Qatar. Araghchi also stated: "The Qatari side has proposed that the implementation period of Iran's proposal be reduced to five days, and at this stage, we have reached a proposal that reduces the implementation period to two days."
