Impacts on the Environment and Sustainable Development
Omani officials stated in their statements that integrating natural resources into policies not only helps protect the environment but can also contribute to sustainable development and economic growth. This approach, especially in developing Arab countries, can serve as a model for improving environmental and economic conditions.
In this regard, Oman invited other Arab countries to engage in joint cooperation in the field of environment and natural resources and to adopt appropriate policies to help protect natural ecosystems. This issue is considered one of Oman's main priorities in the coming years, and more tangible actions are expected to be taken in this area.
At the end of this meeting, the Arab environment ministers agreed to seek the establishment of a cooperation framework for the integration of natural resources into their national policies. This agreement could pave the way for more effective actions in the direction of environmental protection and sustainable development at the regional level.
