The Sultanate of Oman, represented by Her Excellency Dr. Leila bint Ahmed Al-Najjar, Minister of Social Development, participated in the second edition of the International Forum for Social Responsibility held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This event, under the slogan "From Commitment to Impact," discussed international experiences and the most important practices of social responsibility, as well as common challenges and ways to enhance its developmental impacts.
Main Programs of the Forum
The forum addressed several key topics, including the integration of social responsibility with organizational strategies, climate change and just transition, talent development and social impact, governance and trust, responsible innovation, and digital transformation. Additionally, the future of social responsibility in light of rapid economic and technological changes was examined.

During this event, Her Excellency Dr. Leila bint Ahmed Al-Najjar spoke at a ministerial session on strengthening social responsibility globally. She stated that social responsibility in the Sultanate of Oman is continuously growing and developing, with the roles of the government and private sector increasing in supporting initiatives and enhancing their impact. She emphasized the importance of the upcoming phase in strengthening cooperation and partnership among various sectors, stating that initiatives must be aligned with national priorities.
Development of International Cooperation
On the sidelines of the forum, Her Excellency Dr. Leila bint Ahmed Al-Najjar held meetings with officials from other countries. One of these meetings was with Her Excellency Mahinur Ozdemir Goktas, Minister of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Turkey. During this meeting, topics related to joint cooperation in the fields of development and family and the exchange of experiences were discussed.
Her Excellency Dr. Leila bint Ahmed Al-Najjar emphasized the importance of strengthening the concept of social responsibility at the institutional level and highlighted the need to enhance the sustainability of initiatives and assess their impact. She also stressed the importance of supporting and encouraging companies to adopt responsible and sustainable practices and developing national indicators to measure progress and impact in this area.
This forum provided an opportunity for exchanging views and experiences among different countries in the field of social responsibility and its impacts on sustainable development, and it helped to create closer relationships among the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
