Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Bahrain's Foreign Minister, reported at a recent United Nations meeting that there have been over seven thousand attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran against Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Jordan. These attacks included 1,700 ballistic missiles, 80 cruise missiles, and 5,220 drones targeting civilian facilities, residential areas, ports, and airports.

Violation of International Law

In his speech, Al Zayani emphasized that these attacks have not only made facilities and infrastructure vulnerable but have also directly violated international law and the United Nations Charter. He stated that these behaviors reflect a lack of respect for the fundamental principles of international relations and called for the international community's attention to these actions.

Attacks on Ships and the Strait of Hormuz

Furthermore, the Bahraini Foreign Minister referred to the disruptions caused by the Iranian regime in the Strait of Hormuz and announced that the Islamic Republic has targeted 72 ships, resulting in the loss of 22 crew members' lives. Al Zayani stressed that these actions pose not only a threat to maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz but could also have serious consequences for global trade.

The Bahraini Foreign Minister also rejected any restrictions, permits, or fees on shipping in this region and called for international support to ensure maritime security and prevent the continuation of such attacks. He made these remarks in the context of the necessity for cooperation among regional countries and the international community to address security threats.

This report from Bahrain is considered a serious warning to the international community and could lead to new developments in regional security and diplomatic policies. Gulf Cooperation Council countries, especially in terms of security and military cooperation, must closely monitor these developments.
