Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, has mentioned the name of Joe Biden, the current President, an average of three times a day in his speeches and posts this year. This is particularly significant as the midterm elections in November approach, where Republicans are striving to maintain their position in Congress.
Emphasis on the Failures of the Previous Administration
Trump has criticized Biden, holding him responsible for issues such as inflation, immigration, and ammunition shortages. This comes as Trump, 80 years old and battling stage four cancer, has generally distanced himself from public activities. Analysts say this tactic reflects Trump's effort to redirect American attention to the failures of the previous administration rather than his own problems.

High Number of References to Biden
According to studies, Trump has mentioned Biden's name at least 890 times in about 200 events and interviews and nearly 190 posts on the Truth Social network since the beginning of 2023. Specifically, he has referred to economic issues 210 times, immigration 168 times, and foreign policy and national security 138 times. This number of references, compared to other presidents during similar periods, indicates Trump's high focus on criticizing Biden.
While presidents typically criticize their predecessors, Trump's ongoing attention to Biden while he is 20 months into his second term is noteworthy. This focus has occurred not only due to political criticisms but also because of economic and social pressures.
On the other hand, some of Trump's supporters at the midterm convention in Dallas believed that Biden is responsible for inflation, while polls show that many Americans harbor more anger towards Trump in this regard. Given the rising prices during Biden's presidency and the economic challenges stemming from the war and the COVID outbreak, Trump is attempting to distance himself from criticisms by pointing to Biden's failures.
