Israeli airstrikes and shootings in the Gaza Strip on Thursday resulted in the deaths of four individuals. According to reports from health officials in Gaza, these incidents took place in different parts of the region.

Details of the Attacks and Human Casualties

In Gaza City, an airstrike on a vehicle resulted in the deaths of at least two people. Images from the scene show a group of rescuers trying to extinguish the fire caused by this attack. Additionally, another attack in Khan Younis killed a Palestinian man who was riding a bicycle. In northern Gaza, gunfire directed at a woman near the Jabalia refugee camp also resulted in her death.

Israel's Response to Hamas Claims

The Israeli army has not yet responded to these incidents. Israel claims that the Hamas group is rearming and conducting attacks in violation of a year-long ceasefire, which is why it has increased its airstrikes. On the other hand, Hamas has denied these claims and accuses Israel of undermining the peace agreement in Gaza.

The ceasefire signed last year, mediated by the United States, emphasized the reconstruction of Gaza. However, due to disagreements over the disarmament of Hamas and the withdrawal of Israeli forces, little progress has been made in this regard.

Since the ceasefire, Israeli airstrikes have continued. Health officials in Gaza have reported that at least 1,500 Palestinians have lost their lives in these attacks since the ceasefire. In contrast, Israel claims that four of its soldiers have also been killed.

According to Palestinian officials, more than 74,000 people have died since the beginning of Israeli attacks on Gaza. These attacks began after Hamas-led fighters killed around 1,200 people in southern Israel on October 7, 2023.
