Iran and the United States will soon engage in separate negotiations with Qatari mediators. Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, will meet with mediators in New York based on a new plan to end the conflicts.
Details of the Negotiations
These negotiations are likely to take place on Monday or Tuesday and will review a revised version of a seven-day plan that Iran showcased on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly. After attending this assembly, Araghchi will remain in New York, and U.S. representatives are also expected to participate in these discussions.

Content of the Iranian Plan
According to published information, Iran's seven-day plan includes ending all hostilities in Iran and Lebanon, releasing billions of dollars of Iranian assets, lifting sanctions on Iranian oil, and canceling the blockade that the United States has imposed on Iranian ports. Under this plan, Iran will allow the Strait of Hormuz to be reopened, and negotiations regarding Iran's nuclear program will resume.
U.S. President Donald Trump emphasized on Saturday that he has rejected Iran's proposal and noted that Tehran is seeking a quick agreement due to severe economic pressures. However, he stated in a media interview on Sunday that he expects U.S. negotiators to engage in further discussions this week.
Araghchi also announced on Sunday that mediators have not officially conveyed the U.S. non-agreement to Tehran, and Iran is awaiting Washington's definitive position before deciding on the next steps. He emphasized, "Our conditions are clear, and any action towards reopening the Strait of Hormuz is conditional on meeting these conditions," adding that only a negotiated solution can resolve this deadlock.
