Israeli airstrikes on Saturday, September 19, resulted in the deaths of at least three Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. According to reports from health officials, one of these strikes occurred near the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, where Basir Al-Boursh, the son of Munir Al-Boursh, the director general of the Ministry of Health in the region, lost his life.
Details of the Strikes
In this context, Israeli military forces announced that their targets in these strikes were several militants. However, no further information about these attacks has been released. The Hamas group, which governs the Gaza Strip, has not yet responded to these strikes.

Munir Al-Boursh, the director general of the Ministry of Health, had previously lost his daughter in an Israeli airstrike in December 2022. He was injured in that attack and is now facing a difficult situation with the loss of his son. In a video that has been released, he is seen carrying his son's body, wrapped in a blanket, as he walks with other mourners towards the hospital.
In the video, he states that his son had told him before the attack: "Father, they will target us, you and I will go together," adding that this has now become a reality.
Casualties and Consequences
In another incident, an attack in the Shuja'iyya area, east of Gaza City, resulted in the death of a man. Additionally, another attack on a vehicle in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City resulted in one fatality. According to reports from civil defense services and health officials, the total casualties on Saturday reached at least three people.
Israeli military forces stated that the target of the attack in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood was a Hamas militant. The explosion turned the vehicle into shattered pieces.
Palestinian officials have reported that since the beginning of Israeli attacks on Gaza, more than 73,000 people have been killed. These attacks began after Hamas-led fighters killed approximately 1,200 people in southern Israel in October 2023.
A ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian groups, which was signed last year with U.S. mediation, referred to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, but despite this agreement, little progress has been made in negotiations for the disarmament of Hamas and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area. Since the implementation of the ceasefire, more than 1,300 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have been killed in Gaza, while Israeli military forces have reported the deaths of four of their soldiers.
