Russian airstrikes on Sunday killed three people in two different cities in Ukraine and injured nine in the capital, Kyiv. Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, announced that among the injured is a child, and six of them are receiving treatment in the hospital.
Impact and Consequences of the Attacks
Russian forces continuously carry out heavy attacks on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, especially at night. In recent weeks, these attacks have almost continuously continued throughout the day as well. Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, strongly condemned these attacks, stating that targeting civilians clearly indicates that Russia's actions are "terrorism."

Details of Recent Attacks
Zelensky wrote in a social media post: "Russia has no military targets in these attacks." He added that these attacks are merely an attempt to break the spirit of the people and cause the maximum possible damage to Ukrainian society. In the city of Sumy, which is frequently targeted by Russian attacks, three missiles fell near a family support center, killing two people.
In Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, a drone struck a vehicle, killing the driver. Zelensky also noted that since Saturday, Russia has deployed 277 various types of attack drones, 155 of which are jet-powered and have been increasingly used recently.
The mayor of Kyiv also stated that a drone hit a residential building, causing a fire in an eastern suburb. Rescue teams extinguished the fire and attended to other damaged areas of the city. These attacks have also harmed Ukraine's communication infrastructure, with the largest mobile service provider in Ukraine reporting an attack on its main center.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its forces targeted two data centers in Kyiv and a logistics center in Odesa, but both sides in this over four-year war deny targeting civilians.
